Our high-quality bird spike systems provide long-lasting protection while blending with the appearance of your property. Installed correctly, they help reduce bird fouling, nesting activity and damage caused by unwanted bird presence.
Bird Netting Installation
Bird netting installation is an effective bird proofing solution for preventing pigeons and other nuisance birds from accessing areas where they may roost or nest. Our discreet bird netting systems create a strong physical barrier while allowing natural light and airflow, making them ideal for protecting areas such as balconies, roof spaces, courtyards and other vulnerable areas of your home.
Using durable, UV-resistant materials, our professionally installed bird netting provides long-lasting protection against nesting activity, bird fouling and unwanted bird access.
Drone Roof Inspection
Before installing bird deterrent systems, our drone roof inspections provide a safe and detailed assessment of your property. Using high-resolution aerial imaging, we can identify bird activity, nesting areas, access points and potential installation challenges across roofs and other hard-to-reach areas.
This allows our BPCA technicians to accurately assess your property and recommend the most effective bird proofing solution. Drone inspections help improve safety, reduce disruption and ensure bird deterrent systems are installed correctly for long-lasting protection.
Bird Guano & Bird Droppings Removal
Bird droppings and accumulated guano are more than just an unsightly nuisance. Over time, they can stain and damage roofs, patios, driveways, solar panels, brickwork and other exterior surfaces. Large accumulations can also create hygiene concerns and should be removed using safe working methods to minimise exposure to dust and contaminants.

Residential Bird Control FAQs
How do you stop pigeons nesting on a house? The most effective way to stop pigeons nesting on a house is to prevent access to the areas where they roost and build nests. Professional bird proofing methods such as bird spikes, bird netting, bird wire systems and other humane deterrents can be installed on roofs, ledges, balconies, solar panels and other vulnerable areas. A survey of the property will identify the cause of the problem and the most suitable long-term solution.
What is the best bird deterrent? The best bird deterrent depends on the type of bird, the location and the reason birds are attracted to the property. Professional bird control systems such as bird spikes, netting and tensioned wire systems are among the most effective long-term solutions because they physically prevent birds from landing or nesting. The correct deterrent should always be selected based on the property and bird behaviour.
Can birds damage solar panels? Yes, birds can cause damage and problems around solar panels. Pigeons often nest underneath panels where they find shelter, which can lead to blocked airflow, accumulated nesting material, damaged cables and increased maintenance requirements. Solar panel bird proofing mesh is a safe and effective way to prevent birds accessing the space beneath panels while allowing the system to operate correctly.
Are bird spikes humane? Yes, professionally installed bird spikes are considered a humane bird control method. They do not harm birds; instead, they prevent birds from landing and encouraging them to move to a more suitable location. Quality bird spikes are designed as a preventative solution rather than a method of harming or removing birds.
How much does bird control cost? The cost of bird control depends on several factors, including the type of bird problem, the size of the property, access requirements and the type of bird proofing system required. A small installation, such as solar panel proofing, will usually differ in cost from larger projects involving roofs, commercial-style systems or extensive netting. A professional survey will determine the most appropriate and cost-effective solution.
Do birds return to the same nest? Many bird species will return to the same nesting location if it remains safe and accessible. Once birds have successfully nested somewhere, the area can become an attractive site for future nesting. Installing preventative bird proofing after appropriate nest management can help reduce the likelihood of birds returning.
Can you remove bird nests legally? Bird nest removal must be carried out carefully and in accordance with wildlife protection laws. Many wild birds, their nests and eggs are protected, meaning active nests generally cannot be disturbed during the breeding season. A professional bird control company can advise on the correct approach and provide solutions that comply with current legislation.
What bird proofing lasts the longest? The lifespan of bird proofing depends on the system installed, the quality of materials and the environment where it is fitted. Professionally installed solutions such as stainless steel bird spikes, bird netting and tensioned wire systems can provide many years of protection when correctly installed and maintained. The most durable solution is one that has been selected specifically for the bird species and the area being protected.
